So you want to publish an eBook. eBooks are a great way of making money as your book can be about anything that you want it to be about, You can write fiction, nonfiction, or something in between, have you heard of Augustus Burrows? Writing an eBook can be a fun process, but it also takes a lot of work. Then once you are done writing how do you make you eBook and then how do you sell it? These are are great questions to have and, in this article, we hope to answer them for you.
Step one is writing your eBook. How you go about it is really up to you. You can write it yourself which I find to be the enjoyable but that's me. You can also go to Upwork and find some to write the book for you. Ghost writers in different countries can charge as little as seven dollars an hour for ghost writing cervices. For self-publishing you can use AI like Chat GPT or Anyword, but you need to heavily edit it and check for plagiarism.
For editing you book Grammerly and Sqribble are great products to consider when making your editing journey easier. You can also go to readsy and find a editor but that can be rather expensive up wards to over a thousand dollars. However professional editor would probably be the best.
After it's ready to go you have figure out how you are going to sell this thing. And you have a couple options with that. I would recommend putting it out on every platform avaliable first. Second Make sure that you have a great cover. AI like Lexica.ai is great for this, as are other AI programs, you can just then go and edit the image in Canva for a title and other text that you need on the cover. You could hire someone to do it, which if you want to be really specific with your cover is probably the best way to go.
Next comes marketing. Here are a few strategies that worked for me. Bargin and free books sights got me downloads. Going through and finding the right ones for you does take time. Next find a list a of blogs that write about the niche you wrote in, and email them a copy or if it's free tell them where to download it. Hopefully they will give you a good review on their blog that will generate sales. Another option is to use pinterest and post your cover and other varient covers on there. Have the pin link back to a page like a linktree page that has different options for buying and downloading. Lastly you can give away the first chapter for free on different sights like Medium. Then at the bottom just link to where they can buy your book.
While this article is not super in depth in any of the aspects of a self publishing journey. I will be posting more indpeth articles later on the different aspects so that you can have a better idea of how to do it. Good luck with you book and please check back for more.
